Livingston High School’s annual College Night will be Wednesday, October 12, 6:00-7:30 p.m. in the LHS commons area. This is an evening of general college browsing, featuring financial aid and admissions information for many colleges and vocational schools. There will be representatives ready to discuss
what their educational institution has to offer you.
Our college night is organized by TACRAO (Texas Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers). I encourage you to go to www.gotocollegefairs.com and register your attendance. You are not required to register, but if you do, you will be able to print an attendance pass, along with a barcode specific just for you. Many of the college night representatives will have the scanning capability to scan
your barcode in order to receive your name, address and other personal information. This technology
will save both you and the college representatives a lot of time.
If you choose to register, please follow these steps:
Go to www.gotocollegefairs.com
Click “Students Register Now”.
Click on the State of Texas.
Click the “attending” box for the TACRAO Association for the date range of 10/10/16-10/14/16;
Location is “Houston II - Coastal Bend College Fairs”.
Remember, it is very important to create a username and password that you can remember
so that you can change/update your information as necessary.
You may decide to complete only the mandatory questions of the registration form; however,
the more information you provide, the more information the college will have for you.
Check the “Terms and Conditions” box and submit the form.
Print the barcode; and, remember to bring the barcode with you to college night.
Just a few of the schools that have agreed to attend our LHS College Night include: University of Texas,
Texas A&M, Texas Tech, Stephen F. Austin, Sam Houston, Kilgore, Lamar, Mary-Hardin Baylor,
Lone Star, University of Houston, Texas State Technical College, Tyler Jr. College, Rice, East Texas Baptist,

The LHS Counselors are looking forward to a successful College Night! Please contact your counselor if you have any questions.
