Also, once you are accepted to a college/university, it is recommended that you research that post secondary school’s scholarship opportunities through their financial aid department and website.

LIVINGSTON GREEN & WHITE SCHOLARSHIP(S)

The Green & White Scholarship Committee will host a parent night in the Fall of 2019, along with a senior assembly to discuss/distribute the Green & White Scholarship booklets. Applications will be due at the end of the Fall 2019 Semester.  Scholarships will be selected in the Spring and announced at the Senior Honors Night in May 2020.

MAX SCHLOTTER SCHOLARSHIP

The Max W. The J. E. Seamans Memorial Scholarship is available from Farm Bureau to applicants whose family is a member of Polk County Farm Bureau and plans to pursue a degree in some form of Agriculture. DUE:  TBA

TERRY FOUNDATION

The Terry Freshman Scholarship, known as the Terry Traditional Scholarship, is awarded to Texas high school seniors who have been accepted for admission to one of the Terry-affiliated public universities in Texas. Affiliated schools include the following:  The University of Texas- Austin, Texas A&M University, University of Houston, Texas State University, The University of Texas- Dallas, The University of Texas- San Antonio, Texas Tech University, University of North Texas, Texas Woman’s University, Texas A&M University- Galveston, Sam Houston State University, The University of Texas- Arlington and The University of Texas- El Paso. Applications for the Terry Transfer Scholarship are available only from the universities and are not available from the Foundation or from high schools.https://terryfoundation.org/future-scholars/freshman-scholarship/

LIVINGSTON FFA BOOSTER CLUB SCHOLARSHIP

The Livingston FFA Booster Club Scholarship application packet can be picked up in the Academic Advising Office.

All applicants must be a graduating senior who has been accepted into a college/university/technical school and plans to attend within one year of graduation.  Applicants must have been a paid FFA member for at least 3 years in high school.  See application for additional requirements.

DUCKS UNLIMITED SCHOLARSHIP

Ducks Unlimited (DU) will award college scholarships to graduating high school seniors who are members of DU. The scholarship program is open to all students; however, it is targeted to volunteers who have shown an exceptional level of commitment to wetlands conservation through participation in their high school club or chapter. In addition, students must maintain a 3.0 or higher cumulative high school GPA. www.ducks.org

SMITH – HUTSON SCHOLARSHIP

Incoming freshmen with established financial need and academic potential are encouraged to apply for the Smith-Hutson Scholarship.  This scholarship provides a portion of tuition, fees, books, supplies and on- campus room and board. The Smith-Hutson Scholarship Application will be available in the fall each year. The application will be complete upon the receipt of (1) completed online application in myScholarships; (2) high school transcript; (3) financial need documentation (Copy of the Student Aid Report from the 2019-2020 Free Application for Federal Student Aid); (4) an essay describing career goals; and (5) two letters of recommendation. VOICE OF DEMOCRACY

Association for Migrant Educators of Texas - High School

Scholarship amounts are determined by the AMET Scholarship Committee on the basis of background in migrant farm work, financial need, and the academic potential of the youth.

Three (3) scholarships of $1,000 each will be awarded annually to college undergraduate students and twelve scholarships of $1,000 each will be awarded annually to entering freshmen. Scholarship funds are to be used to support the cost of higher education by covering unmet student financial and self-help aid. Scholarships disbursed are not payment for students' services. Scholarship recipients may reapply annually to be considered for an undergraduate award.

Albert Lee Wright, Jr. Memorial Migrant Scholarship

The purpose of this scholarship is to honor a migratory farm worker or fishing student who has overcome barriers presented by mobility, has performed well academically, and who have provided service to his/her community.

Lydia M. Pena-Delgado Scholarship Program

Scholarship amounts are determined by the Lydia M. Peña-Delgado Scholarship Committee on the basis of background in migrant farm work and the academic potential of the youth. Two scholarships of $1000 will be awarded. Scholarship funds are to be used for tuition and fees required for enrollment or attendance at an educational institution, or for books, supplies, and equipment required for courses of instruction. Scholarships dispersed may not be used for payment of students' services.

Charles Butt Scholarship for Aspiring Teachers

The Charles Butt Scholarship for Aspiring Teachers – one component of the Raising Texas Teachersinitiative – is designed to encourage the best and brightest students to consider a future in the teaching profession.
